Start-up and commissioning; Fixed Price or Time and Material?  It's understandable to want to know the cost however someone holds the risk.  I'd like to hear from the industry on what is fair and reasonable.

We live in now beyond Information age as emerging Intelligence with intrgation.
One end Connected to PDA connected through PAN to WWW in cloud.
Other end is yet to be connected by web service to devices.
The role of system intregation is expanding, and with challenges, like Concept, Engineering, Identification, selecting, intrgating, implementation, revisions.
What is the Road Map for Systems Intregator to take up the emerging challenges as outlined above?

The system integration industry is vast, with a plethora of trade publications existing that cover niche areas of focus. Which publications (magazines or websites,) do your end-users tend to read the most? Are there any resources that you regularly turn to?

With the rise of social media, businesses have embraced the platform as a means to advertise their company, products, or services. Most companies have pages set up to some extent. But would you say that Facebook or Twitter plays a significant role in the System Integration or Automation Industry? What role do you see these options playing in your marketing scheme?

I am interested in learning if there are currently any deals offered for 1000 rpm motors.

With my past couple of projects, I have seen an increase in requests to take on more and more aspects of the project instead of simply integrating a system and clocking out. Keeping things on schedule time-wise while working with these given products within this budget, etc. There's been plenty of talk about project life cycles and avoiding scope creep. Any simple tips or words of advice going into a new project and being asked to lead the project?

I'm looking for an expert in machine safety or a flame sensor/detector to protect some machines from fire due to leaks of oil from hydraulic pumps.
It needs to be install in two areas: one is near an injection machine and the other one is near smelting area (high temp) 
Need the product and consulting (ex: best place to install, best technology to use, etc) we are in the quotation phase. 

 I will use waste paper as raw material.

Hi All, We are looking to automate measurement of 30 feet long pipes. We are currently using CMM but that does not cover whole pipe ID. Any other ideas? We will be interested in buying a solution too.
