Bedrock Automation and Tatsoft have announced that Tatsoft will authenticate the latest version of its SCADA software to the Bedrock control system root of trust. FactoryStudio 2018 developers will be able to generate Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs) for the Bedrock Certificate Authority (CA). These certificates provide users with a cyber secure connection between their control system and their HMI and SCADA applications.

The Bedrock OSA® Remote is configured with the standard Bedrock IEC 61131-3 engineering tools, and features a wide operating temperature range, a hardened metal enclosure, and pricing below conventional mini PLCs or RTUs.

Bedrock Automation has upgraded its Cybershield 3.0 firmware to make it even easier for end users and developers to build control applications that are both open and secure. Among the six major innovations facilitated by the Cybershield 3.0 upgrade are the first public key infrastructure (PKI) built into an OPC UA server for SCADA applications; an industrial Certificate Authority (CA) for user key management; virtual crypto key locks for the controller; and a Secure Proxy server capability that can protect legacy controls systems of other vendors.
