About

Bachelor Controls (BCI), a leading provider of control systems integration solutions, has specialized in batch solutions since 1983 and is a premier batch integrator. The company also has extensive experience in process solutions which include cooking extrusion for food and pet food, distillation, modified starches, and more.

The company was founded as Bachelor-Wenger, Inc. in June of 1983 by M. Ray Bachelor, G. Jean Bachelor, Betty Wenger, and Rodney Wenger. The first location was in a workshop located on the Wenger home property north of Sabetha. In April of 1984, the property at the current Sabetha address was purchased and the company relocated to the 123 N. Washington address.

In March of 1985, the Bachelors acquired all outstanding stock of the company and the company became solely owned by M. Ray and G. Jean Bachelor. In March of 1987 the company name was changed from Bachelor Wenger, Inc to Bachelor Controls, Inc.

Michael Bachelor joined BCI in 2001 and became President in 2016. Stacey Rodvelt became Vice President in 2018.

Founded in 1983, Bachelor Controls has been recognized as a Charter CSIA Certified Member, Charter Rockwell Automation Solution Partner, and Microsoft Certified Partner. BCI is a Kansas licensed engineering firm located in Sabetha, Kansas, the Kansas City metro area and Memphis, Tennessee.

BCI is committed to a disciplined, structured methodology which we have found produces consistent, quality performance.

Testimonials
Eric Patterson ConAgra Foods - Columbia Basin Blends
First the bad news: We had a power outage yesterday and everything in production abruptly shut down. The good news: Our Lead Operator was extremely pleased at how easy things started after the outage. Everything started up exactly where it left off. All motors, scale weights, transfers, mixing…….. I mean everything started back up perfectly and we (the lead operator especially) wanted to thank you and give you kudos for this new (almost a year old now) software system. I know you mostly only hear about problems, but we just wanted to say thanks and tell you about the good things too.
