N/A AddedThursday, June 28,2018 at 10:26 AM Automation Help This morning I was contacted by an end user looking for some automation help. Please respond with your interest and expertise below (login with your Exchange credentials first.) He will monitor this post and contact you. "I am looking into automating a process that requires a small amount of movement. It needs to be able to move in 2 axis, one needs to be about 18ft and the other maybe 2ft. It would pick up a basket of parts weighing about 20-75 lbs and place it into a series of tanks. I also need it to be programmable and be able to do all of this within certain time windows and repeat until told not to. I am new to automation and I was recently turned onto the CSIA [Exchange] and I was hoping that I could get some insight on this type of topic. Some things to consider are the environment of the components, physical constraints such as walls, safety, and if an operator is present how they will interact with the machinery. Many of the folks in this forum would be able to develop the motion system and programming, but you would likely need to look elsewhere for the mechanical construction of the machine. I would start a dialog with an integrator in your area and "feel them out" if you feel uneasy with your integrator, try with another. Good luck!
