How do I best enter the industrial automation industry? Which additional qualifications do I need?

I currently have a bachelors degree in industrial engineering (graduated 2 years ago) and would very much like to be an automation professional. I am just confused on how I can go from where I am now to where I want to be. Any guidance from industry insiders will be very valuable to me.
