Leland Durrette

Leland Durrette is an Application Engineer at Affinity Energy and brings with him 30 years of related experience. While at Affinity Energy he has expanded his abilities into power monitoring, control, and SCADA systems, providing solutions for the Veteran’s Administration, the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, and University of Virginia, along with many others. He has developed PLC control applications for customers such as Carolinas Healthcare System and ABB. Leland began his career as an Electronics Engineer with Industrial Laboratory Equipment designing and building quality control testing equipment for the textile industry. Since then, as Software Engineer, he contributed to automated-guided vehicle systems at AGV Products for companies such as The New York Times, KRAFT Foods, Goodyear, The Kennedy Space Center, and DuPont. Leland joined Affinity Energy in 2009. Leland holds baccalaureate degrees in Engineering Technology and Physics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He enjoys software development, has flown a hang glider and a powered weight-shift ultralight, is active in his church, and published a book entitled An Easter Cake for Christmas.
